The Kenwood Splashguard has 2 purposes. 1) It can be used as a Splashguard during mixing to keep air and ingredients in the bowl, and so avoid creating a mess. 2) It can be used when using the heat function to keep moisture and heat inside the bowl, just like a sauce pan lid.
