Tumble dryers work by forcing hot air through a rotating drum to extract moisture from your clothing. As the clothes tumble inside the drum they rub against each other, breaking off bits of fibre that collect as lint.

A damaged or worn fluff filter will trap the gathered loose fabric and choke the exhaust of the tumble dryer and a big lint build-up on the filter impedes air flow, slows drying time and increases the dryer’s energy consumption.
