This replacement Spool is where the cutting line of your grass trimmer is housed.

Your grass trimmer uses a line to slice through grass and weeds. The line is wound around this replacement Spool that is on the underside of the trimmer.

This replacement Spool rotates about 6,000 times a minute and over time, bits of the line wear down until there is none left. It's time to either replace the entire spool or buy new line to wind around the old spool.

A new line is usually fed into the spool, and the spool releases the line to trim the grass.
